Have you heard the story of the mother that even with a broken back, saves her drowning child trapped under a car by lifting the entire thing off before pulling her child to safety?

Or Alex Hannold doing the impossible by free solo climbing the 3,000 feet El Capitan, Yosemite National Park’s iconic granite wall, WITHOUT ROPES!

Or how about one of my all time heroes, the Iceman Wim Hof that through his breath has developed a superhuman immune system that neither the extreme cold, bacteria or viruses can crack!

Now the question is, WHAT IS THE SECRET? And even more so, HOW CAN WE EVERYDAY PEOPLE ACHIEVE THESE SUPERHUMAN ABILITIES?

There is an actual science to this that you and I can apply in our normal lives to become superhuman as well. The science is called transient hypofrontality, or as many of us would have heard it referred to before, FLOW!

In the science and application of FLOW, your forebrain also called the prefrontal cortex slows down so we can truly be in the ZONE while not over analysing what to do but rather, BE!

Be one with the rock, be one with the wave, be one with our own full potential!

After recovering from 2 broken legs and almost dying from a staph aureus hospital infection through my hips and pelvis back in 2006, I started applying the rituals of FLOW and PRIMING using my yoga and meditation practice to help me heal. Now also as an Australian Ninja Warrior competitor, I found that accessing the state of FLOW actually only requires us to be 4% outside of your comfort zone to gain the same benefits! This has also been proven through the research provided in the book The Rise of Superman: Decoding the Science of Ultimate Human Performance by Steven Kotler.

This means that you do not have to go out and do something super dangerous and extreme, but purely allow yourself to be pushed outside of your comfort zone a little each and every time WHILE BEING PRESENT AND CONTINUOUSLY AWARE OF YOUR BREATH.

This way YOU CAN ACCESS THE FLOW STATE and be one with your surroundings as you exercise, move or work on something you are truly passionate about – also called YOUR HIGHEST VALUE OR PURPOSE IN LIFE! (More info on the program below).

OK, so what about Priming?

Each and every single day either morning or afternoon, I thrive on my PRIMING ROUTINE, preparing all the cells in my body for the mastery yet to come.

Priming is a powerful daily ritual that involves conscious and directed breathing and movement to center yourself so that you’re primed for whatever the day brings – but not only what it brings, but what you want it to bring!

“Thoughts Become Things” and remember all your cells are listening!

You see our day is ours to design however we want and I choose a life by design, not a life by default.

I choose to design a life of abundance, a life of mastery, and life of Love. I cannot envision starting my day without setting the intentions before priming them into my nervous system with power-breathing.

Knowing that what I believe I can achieve I choose to repeat to myself my specific chosen words, incantations and dreams already unfolding as my scientific prayer is spoken through repetition and positive emotion!

Priming might feel strange at first — but if you practice regularly, you’ll experience an incredible shift in your state, focus as well as the quality of your thoughts and emotions.

It might sound something like this (a sneak-peak of my personal Daily Priming Prayer):

OK, here’s what you do:

Step 1 – Choose 3 specific positive things you want to manifest in your life, for yourself, AND for those around you.

Step 2 – Sit upright, get in state, get comfortable and prepare to power breathe

Step 3 – Say your Scientific Prayer

Step 4 – Start your Priming ritual by applying 30 strong exhalation breaths * 3 rounds.

Step 5 – Meditate on 3 things you are Grateful for

Step 6 – Celebrate like it’s already happening for you – because it is!
